SDI Solo Diver

The Solo Diver course is ideal for those looking to be more self-reliant, diving with less experienced divers or children and divers looking to go diving on their own. Also ideal for underwater photographers/videographers who find buddies spoil the perfect shot. An SDI Solo Diver qualification allows you to dive solo here at Wraysbury Dive Centre, so no need for a buddy.

The Solo Diver course covers proper planning, personal limitations and accident prevention, as well as the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving solo. You will also learn the additional equipement required.
What does the course consist of?

The takes one day involving a theory session and three dives. There is some pre-course reading which can be a good old fashioned manual or online learning.

Things to do after you qualify: Buy Dive Kit
We would always recommend that you purchase your dive equipment from a dive shop rather than shopping online (and its not just because we have a dive shop on site).  Buying in person allows you to try things on so that you get the right fit, get the right advice and kit for the type of diving that you intend to do and benefit from the experience of those that actually go diving.  You may also end up with a better deal than you imagined.
