In light of the increasing covid numbers numbers we would like to remind you all to please follow our covid rules and guidelines and also follow directions of any staff on site. Numbers of covid infections are increasing at a concerning rate in the UK and our main priority is to keep everyone safe and diving (staff, divers and visitors alike).
As a quick reminder:
Please do not visit us if you feel unwell in any way, have tested positive for covid, are awaiting the results of a covid test, if you have been instructed to isolate or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive. Feeling unwell includes symptoms of colds (whether or not you have tested positive or negative for covid). This rule applies regardless of whether or not you have received both vaccines.
The main building will remain closed unless access to the shop is required. Anyone wishing to use the shop will be required to wear a face mask unless exempt. Facemasks are important in preventing infection spread and as many of us have vulnerable friends, family members and loved ones that we want to keep safe, please help us by wearing one when necessary.
The inside changing rooms and toilets are open. Please use them sensibly and wait outside of the building until one is free. Please do not use the toilet/changing block to eat in, do briefings or as shelter. As the chainging rooms are an inside area, please wear a facemask unless exempt.
As much as we would love to do it to help the environment, we are still unable to take your drinking vessels into our kitchen for filling.
On a positive note, we will be putting out benches on the grass area again for use by you. They will be placed, spaced apart to allow for distancing so please do not move them and be sensible when using them with regards to numbers.
Full rules and guidelines can be found below
Thank you for your continuing support and co-operation. We look forward to seeing you diving again soon.
Please do not come to Wraysbury if you are suffering with any symptoms associated with Covid-19, flu, colds, if you feel unwell, if you are waiting for covid test results or if you have been in contact with anyone with symptoms or who has tested positive within the last 14 days.
We are now allowing spectators on site but we cannot allow anyone under the age of 16 who is not diving.
There is no need to book in advance - we do not have the facility to do this. We have a very large carpark and as such we are able to get everyone in the water who wants to.
Please do not arrive at Wraysbury Dive Centre early I.e. before 0900am. If you queue outside it upsets our neighbours and as such we have to ask you to move away and wait in the village. This can sometimes cause bad feeling which is unfair on our staff.
Please bring your £15 entry in cash and have it ready upon arrival. You will be asked to place this in a bucket. We are unable to accept card or pre-payments due to the internet black hole that is our village.
Please park as and where directed. You are never parked far from the waters edge.
Please follow the ‘arrive, dive, leave,’ mantra. This does not mean you cannot do multiple dives or have a cup of tea between - it simply means please do not hang around unnecessarily chatting before, between and after dives.
Instructors/Divemasters/safety divers cannot be shared across two groups who are on site at the same time as we cannot have groups waiting out of the water for an instructor to become available.
All litter that did not originate from Wraysbury Dive Centre must be removed from site.
There will be hand sanitiser available at various points around the centre. Please feel free to use.
Only one buddy pair to use the water entry/exit points at any one time. Please be patient with each other.
No equipment to be left at the water entry/exit points or on the kitting up benches.
These rules have been put in place for the safety of everyone, both customers and staff. They may be subject to change as government and scientific advice changes. Please stick to the rules to avoid staff being put in the uncomfortable and unfair situation of having to ask persons to leave.
