Yay!! We will be open again for diving from 29th March.
Hopefully these rules will apply for just for a little bit longer………..Please review these before coming to our site each time as they are subject to change with the government guidelines
Please do not come to Wraysbury if you are suffering with any symptoms associated with Covid-19, flu, colds, if you feel unwell, if you are waiting for covid test results or if you have been in contact with anyone with symptoms or who has tested positive within the last 14 days.
Numbers of people on site are going to be restricted to enable social distancing to occur. As a result only divers are allowed on site. Spectators are strictly not allowed. This includes, parents, spouses, family members, friends and general cheerleaders. If you are not happy to leave your child with their respective dive school, please wait until the Covid rules are lifted as we cannot make exceptions.
There is no need to book in advance - we do not have the facility to do this. With reduced group sizes, no spectators and our very large carpark, we are able to get everyone in the water who wants to.
Please do not arrive at Wraysbury Dive Centre early I.e. before 0900am. If you queue outside it upsets our neighbours and as such we have to ask you to move away and wait in the village. This can sometimes cause bad feeling which is unfair on our staff.
Please bring your £15 entry in cash and have it ready upon arrival. You will be asked to place this in a bucket. We are unable to accept card or pre-payments due to the internet black hole that is our village.
Please park as and where directed. You are never parked far from the waters edge.
Please follow the ‘arrive, dive, leave,’ mantra. This does not mean you cannot do multiple dives or have a cup of tea between - it simply means please do not hang around unnecessarily chatting before, between and after dives.
No dogs until further notice.
In line with government guidelines, no groups of more than 6 persons are allowed unless you have an organised training event (please see training section).
Instructors/Divemasters/safety divers cannot be shared across two groups who are on site at the same time as we cannot have groups waiting out of the water for an instructor to become available.
All litter that did not originate from Wraysbury Dive Centre must be removed from site.
There will be hand sanitiser available at various points around the centre. Please feel free to use.
Only one buddy pair to use the water entry/exit points at any one time. Please be patient with each other.
No equipment to be left at the water entry/exit points or on the kitting up benches.
Food and drink will be available from our hatch.
Please bring cash for payment as we cannot accept cards.
Please queue using the markers outside of the hatch and step forward only when directed by staff.
We cannot accept any of your drinking vessels into our kitchen - this includes tea/coffee cups. We also cannot accept your water bottles or provide tap water as we do not have mains water on site. We have bottled water for purchase.
The bar is currently closed for alcohol sales.
Our indoor changing rooms will be closed until further notice. Please do not use them. There is an outdoor modesty hut for use.
Toilets are available but are strictly not to be used for changing in. If this happens the toilets have to close to be cleaned which is unfair on everyone else on site.
If the toilets are in use, please queue outside of the building where markers are in place. Do not queue inside the toilet building or on the ramp as this makes social distancing impossible.
Please use hand sanitiser and/or wash hands before and after using the facilities.
We are currently only able to provide air fills, not nitrox, oxygen or trimix.
Until further notice, we are only able to provide air fills for those diving on site..
Please follow the queuing system outside of the gas fill station if you are wishing to get gas fills or kit hire.
Please follow all instructions given to you by staff as to when and where to move forward and leave/pick up your cylinder or equipment.
Please remove all equipment from your cylinder before bringing it for filling. The only exception is if you have a twinset with a wing bolted to the cylinders.
Please note that we cannot accept card payments due to internet connectivity in our area. If possible, please bring the correct payment to the gas station with you.
Availability of hit hire may be slightly restricted due to the long-time required for cleaning between uses.
Our main building will be closed to customers with the exception of access to the shop (after 12th April).
If access to the shop is required, please alert the kitchen staff who will allow you in one person at a time. Face coverings must be worn in the shop.
Please note that diver training should only be taking place if it complies with the government rules and if your training agency and insurance company allow it. It is imperative that you read your agency’s guidelines.
If you are struggling with swimming pool availability, please remember that our confined water area is available for hire.
Groups of more than 6 are currently allowed if you have an organised a sporting training event. Exact numbers are therefore, for you to risk assess and justify. You as the event organiser are responsible for managing your diving project including ensuring that all government and site rules regarding covid are adhered to. Whilst on site, your suface support (who must be a competent person and aware of their roles and responsibilities) will be the responsible person for all covid matters within your group.
All persons within a group must be getting in the water at the same time to avoid persons waiting around unnecessarily on site.
Training must follow social distancing rules at all times.
All schools and clubs are responsible for their own first aid provisions including oxygen and also kit cleaning provision.
No cleaning fluids are to be disposed of on site as it can be harmful to the environment.
These rules have been put in place for the safety of everyone, both customers and staff. They may be subject to change as government and scientific advice changes. Please stick to the rules to avoid staff being put in the uncomfortable and unfair situation of having to ask persons to leave.
